Alright, so I finally got to watch 90210 yesterday, and I have to say I'm a bit disappointed. Yeah, the creepy teacher and Naomi's reaction to being raped is a good storyline, but the rest of it, NO, just NO. Dixon freaks because his girlfriend is a Virgin? Right. Annie gets approached about donating her eggs? Sure, no matter that she's probably not of legal age. I think I may be done with this show.
On to better things, One Tree Hill has come back with some good stuff this year. Quinn and Clay being all half-dead and hanging around while watching their loved ones worry about them has been different. They even had me believing for a minute that they were going to actually kill Clay, even though I knew they had just cut a new opening with him in it. Cool twist in the end there. Victoria taking the heat for what she did with the books, way to finally start to redeem her. My only beef with this show is that there is WAY too much Jamie and half the time I want to punch his little face.
Last year Glee was definitely my favorite new show of the year. Our entire family watches it. But I have to say that if the Season Premiere had been the Series Premiere, I would not be a die-hard Gleek. To say that it was lacking is an understatement. There was virtually no one likeable in that episode. Hated Sue (love to hate her), hated Shue for most of it (love him), hated Rachel more than usual, hated the new he/she football coach, I think I even hated Finn for putting up with Rachel's crap. Hey writer's, these are supposed to be lovable characters!
Anyway, last night's episode was a step back in the right direction. Mr Schuester was back, Rachel was a little less self involved, Finn stood up for himself, Emma was adorable as usual, John Stamos's dentist added nicely to the mix and we got Britney Spears on top of all of it. Nice job. Keep on turning them out like that and I won't turn in my Gleek Card just yet.
Parenthood was my favorite mid-season replacement last year. They have come back this season just as strong and do not disappoint. Sarah's getting her feet wet in the corporate world while trying to impress her daughter with how cool she is, Adam can't take it that his Asperger's son has no interest in anything he has to say, Julia's got baby fever while her husband can only see himself saddled with diapers for the next 3 years, and poor Crosby can't get a break from his baby mama's mama (baseball is your church?, best line of the night) Great show all around
Tonight brings ANTM, the Finale of She's Got the Look, and Hellcats (great new guilty pleasure)
